Welcome to the web site for the Eastern Shore
Art League. The Eastern Shore Art League of
Virginia is a 501.C3 organization of
individuals interested in art - as professionals,
part-timers, and patrons. Our membership is open to
and includes painters in all media, photographers,
sculptors, carvers, potters and print-makers of
both professional and amateur status. Patrons with
an interest in promoting, supporting or working
with local arts and artists are encouraged to join
the Art League. We presently have some 160 members
in the Art League.

Show & Reception
Barrier Island Center
Friday, April 18
Eastern Shore Art League members will display
their recent paintings at the Barrier Islands Center in Machipongo, VA at a reception on Friday, April 18th from 6
p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free. Forty paintings in a
variety of media will be shown. Wine and cheese will be
served.
The show represents the work of
over twenty local artists. All the art work is for sale. A
portion of each sale supports the Barrier Islands Center. Art
League members love to paint at the Center during the
winter. Some of the paintings on display will depict museum
pieces while others reflect Eastern Shore and Garden Week
themes.
This Art Show will remain open
from the evening of April 18th to the afternoon
of April 26th. The Barrier Islands Center hours
are: Tuesday - Saturday 10a.m.-4 p.m. and on Sunday
afternoon .
On Saturday, April 26th
Art League members will have a one day art show on the
beautiful grounds of the Center in connection with Historic
Garden Week. Visitors are invited to visit with the artists
in their tents where a wide variety of artistic creations
will be on display and for sale. The indoor show will close
at 4 p.m. . The outdoor art shows will remain open until 3
p.m. on Saturday, April 26th. Admission to both the indoor
and the out door show is free.
