Elaine Kaiser graduated from the Univ. of Georgia with a
degree in Art and Interior Design. She also took classes at
the Conn. School of Fire Arts and private lessons from other
noted artists in the Hartford, Conn. area. Before moving to
the Eastern Shore in 1988, she had an active involvement in
the arts in Conn. both as a painter and a craftsman for 20
years.
In addition to painting, she has designed, made & sold
silver jewelry, copper enameling and lapidary and gem
faceting. She also has designed and made her own
needlepoint and embroidery work. She was active at one time
in the theater as a dancer, producer and behind the scenes
with sets and props.
Since moving to the Eastern Shore she has exhibited at local
galleries and had a one woman show at the ESO and more
recently at the Stage Door gallery in Cape Charles, She
presently has work displayed at the Mariah Christian Gallery
in Onancock and at the Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club.
In Addition to painting, she gardens, plays golf and
bridge, and enjoys doing needlepoint pictures. She and her
husband love to travel and that has been an additional
inspiration for her paintings.
